Liitu Blackboard paint
Description
Waterborne paint for painting blackboards.
Product features
To create blackboard surfaces. Chalk writing adheres well to the painted surface and can be wiped off easily.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions
The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +8°C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Preparation
Unpainted surface:
Remove dirt and dust from the surfaces. Fill the surfaces with a suitable Presto filler, if needed, and sand the dried surface. Remove sanding dust. Prime wall surfaces with Feelings Universal Primer or Varma Primer and furniture with Feelings Furniture Primer, Helmi Primer or Otex Akva.
Previously painted surface:
Wash down previously painted surfaces with Maalipesu cleaning detergent following instructions on the label. Allow to dry. Sand the surface and remove sanding dust. Fill any holes and cracks with a suitable Presto product. Prime with a suitable product like Feelings Universal Primer, Varma Primer, Feelings Furniture Primer, Helmi Primer or Otex Akva, if needed.

Painting
Stir Liitu well before use. Thin with water, if needed. Apply with a short napped paint roller, brush or spray 1-2 times.
Cleaning of tools
Clean tools with water. Tikkurila Tool Cleaner is recommended for removal of slightly hardened paint.
Maintenance instructions
Cleaning earliest approx. 1 month after painting, if needed: The surfaces are cleaned with a neutral (pH 6-8) dish washing solution and soft brush, sponge or cleaning cloth. Clean very dirty surfaces with weakly alkaline (pH 8-10) detergent using e.g. cleaning cloth or sponge. Rinse the surface carefully.
The product achieves its final hardness and durability after one month under normal conditions, therefore the surfaces must be handled with care during this time. If the surfaces need to be cleaned soon after finishing, clean them slightly with a soft brush or damp cleaning cloth.

Maintenance treatment
Surfaces painted with Liitu paint can be recoated directly with Liitu paint. See Preparation.
